Local farmers truck their fresh, seasonal, and sustainably grown produce to town from farms mostly within 10 miles of the Healdsburg, California. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables are available as well as cheese, honey, olive oil, bread, wild fish, pasture-finished meat, and fresh eggs.

Healdsburg Farmer's Market Pumpkin Festival

It’s time for the 33rd annual Healdsburg Farmers’ Market Pumpkin Festival. Get your carving, decorating and racing skills in gear for this year’s competitions. Add in cooking, for a new, yummy contest to enter. Get your chef’s hats on!

~ALL COMPETITIONS EXCEPT COOK-OFF~ 

3 AGE CATEGORIES:

7 & UNDER

8 – 15

16 – ADULT

PUMPKIN CARVING

All ages can take a seat at the the tables and carve a market-supplied pumpkin. Tools provided. Win prizes for the best!
Carving starts at 8:30am and judging is at 10:30.

DECORATE AND RACE YOUR PUMPKIN

Bring your already decorated pumpkin to the market on festival morning. It must have wheels inserted to roll down the market race track. IT CANNOT BE MORE THAN 11″ WIDE.

BRING YOUR SCARECROW TO THE FESTIVAL

Enter the unique scarecrow competition! Don’t hide your masterpiece on the farm: bring him (her) to the festival and share them with us!

PUMPKIN COOKING COMPETITION

New to the festival this year, there are no age groups to this competition, but there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in 2 categories:

SAVORY PUMPKIN DISHES: Stews, casseroles or other savory concoctions
SWEET PUMPKIN DISHES: Pies, breads, souffles, or anything in that category

You must cook your dish at home and make enough for 5 judges to taste
You must provide a copy of the recipe to the market manager and each judge.

Register between 8-9:30. Judging is at 10 and winners will be announced at the 11am final awards.

PRIZES INCLUDE GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES, AND MARKET BUCKS!

Wine & Food Affair ~ Tasting Along the Wine Road is the premier event for Wine Road – Northern Sonoma County!
Join us for a weekend of wine and food pairing in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.
All of the wineries participating will have a favorite winery recipe available online, which they will prepare both days for you to sample, along with the perfect wine.

All Wine Road events are for adults only… NO ONE under the age of 21 is allowed to attend Wine & Food Affair -including no babies or children of any age.

Advance Tickets Only, Tickets will sell out. Ticket Sales End Monday October 30, 2017.

Weekend:  $80 (plus tax and service fees at registration)
